- Hydrogen generation from renewables (e.g. bioethanol, acetic acid) by catalytic steam reforming or partial oxidation 
- Degradation of organic pollutants by using photo-catalysis and/or ozonation
- CO2 hydrogenation by heterogeneous catalysts
- Synthesis of mesostructured materials (TiO2)
